I have been wondering for quite some time about this. Why is Amber Chia so famous? I can see her photos almost everywhere.

To me, she is not attractive at all and certainly  lack of grace..

Maybe I am not in the modelling world so I do not know what criteria makes it to the public eye.

So, can anyone tell me, what are her plus points?amber_chia

Malaysian Lawyer involves in ‘Advanced Fee Fraud’? November 13, 2008

The other day, a friend of mine settled her house loan. She needs to hire a lawyer for the documentation and Maybank introduced her to a lawyer. My friend, being a careful person, tried to google this lawyer and found a surprising outcome. If what the website told is true, does this mean Maybank never do a background check on their lawyers?

You can find the website here http://419.bittenus.com/8/5/azlamhishamkadir.html.

But here is the content anyway:

Dear Miss Young,

Regards,
Barr.Azlan Hisham K. ESQ,
Senior Advocate/Solicitor.

My name is Mr. Azlan Hisham Kadir, a legal practitioner withAZLAN HISHAM & CO in Selangor , Malaysia .

I saw your contact and profile and decided that you could cooperatewith me in this proposition.
I have a client by Name Mr.Adams Young, who was deceased in November, 2005, in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . I am contacting you because you have the same surname as my deceased client and i felt that you could help me in the distribution of funding that were left in my deceased client’s bank account. This funding is closed to be declared un-serviceable by the bank as there were no indicated next of kin or next of beneficiary of the funding in the bank account.
The total amount of cash in the bank account of my deceased client is US$ 11.3Million ( Say, Eleven Million, Three Hundred Thousand United States dollars Only ),The bank had issued to me a notification to contact the next of kin of my deceased client for either to re-activate the bank account or to make claim of beneficiary, of the funding in the bank account, with a month surcharge of 6% to be deducted as an Escrow safe keeping fee of the bank account, so as to avoid the indefinite closure of the bank account. My proposition to you is to seek your consent, and to present your kind self as the next-of-kin and beneficiary of my deceased client, since you have the same last name with him.
This means that the proceeds of his bank account would be paid to you as hisnext of kin or the legitimate beneficiary. Whenthe proceeds in his bank account are paid to you, we would share the proceeds on a mutually agreed-upon percentage of 60% to me and 40% to your kind self. All the legal documents to back up your claim as my client’s next-of-kin would be provided by me. The most important thing I would need is your honest cooperation in this proposition. This would be done under a legitimate arrangement that would protect you from any breach of the law.
If this business proposition offends your moral and ethical values, feel free to back out. Please contact me at once if you are interested reply through

The most misunderstood Egg Yolk May 21, 2008

This is an article I received from an email:

I was on a weekend trip with some friends recently and one of my friends was cooking breakfast for the whole group. I went over to see what he was cooking
and saw he was getting ready to make a big batch of eggs.

Well, to my shock and horror, I noticed that he was cracking the eggs open and screening the egg whites into a bowl and throwing out the egg yolks. I asked
him why the heck he was throwing out the egg yolks, and he replied…

‘because I thought the egg yolks were terrible for you…that’s where all the nasty fat and cholesterol is’.

And I replied, ‘you mean that’s where all the nutrition is!’

This is a perfect example of how confused most people are about nutrition. In a world full of misinformation, somehow most people now mistakenly think
that the egg yolk is the worst part of the egg, when in fact, the YOLK IS THE HEALTHIEST PART OF THE EGG!

By throwing out the yolk and only eating egg whites, you’re essentially throwing out the most nutrient dense, antioxidant-rich, vitamin and mineral loaded
portion of the egg. The yolks contain so many B-vitamins, trace minerals, vitamin A, folate, choline, lutein, and other powerful nutrients… it’s not
even worth trying to list them all.

In fact, the egg whites are almost devoid of nutrition compared to the yolk.

Even the protein in egg whites isn’t as powerful without the yolks to balance out the amino acid profile and make the protein more bio-available. Not to
even mention that the egg yolks from free range chickens are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids.

Yolks contain more than 90% of the calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, thiamin, B6, folate, and B12, and panthothenic acid of the egg. In addition, the yolks
contain all of the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K in the egg, as well as all of the essential fatty acids.

And now the common objection I get all the time when I say that the yolks are the most nutritious part of the egg…

‘But I heard that whole eggs will skyrocket my cholesterol through the roof’

No, this is FALSE!

First of all, when you eat a food that contains a high amount of dietary cholesterol such as eggs, your body down-regulates it’s internal production of
cholesterol to balance things out.

On the other hand, if you don’t eat enough cholesterol, your body simply produces more since cholesterol has tons of important functions in the body.

And here’s where it gets even more interesting…

There are indications that eating whole eggs actually raises your good HDL cholesterol to a higher degree than LDL cholesterol, thereby improving your
overall cholesterol ratio and blood chemistry.

And 3rd… high cholesterol is NOT a disease! Heart disease is a disease…but high cholesterol is NOT. You can read the following article about why trying
to attack cholesterol is a mistake, and what the REAL deadly risk factors actually are…

http://www.truthaboutabs.com/cholesterol-myths.html

So I hope we’ve established that whole eggs are not some evil food that will wreck your body… instead whole eggs are FAR superior to egg whites..

Also, your normal supermarket eggs coming from mass factory farming just don’t compare nutritionally with organic free range eggs from healthy chickens
that are allowed to roam freely and eat a more natural diet.

I recently compared eggs I bought at the grocery store with a batch of eggs I got at a farm stand where the chickens were free roaming and healthy.

Most people don’t realize that there’s a major difference because they’ve never bought real eggs from healthy chickens… The eggs from the grocery store
had pale yellow yolks.

On the other hand, the healthier free range eggs had deep orange colored yolks indicating much higher nutrition levels and carotenoids.

So next time a health or fitness professional tells you that egg whites are superior, you can quietly ignore their advice knowing that you understand the
REAL deal about egg yolks.

One more thing about eggs…

I read a study recently that compared groups of people that ate egg breakfasts vs groups of people that ate cereal or bagel based breakfasts. The results
of the study showed that the egg eaters lost or maintained a healthier bodyweight, while the cereal/bagel eaters gained weight.

It was hypothesized that the egg eaters actually ate less calories during the remainder of the day because their appetite was more satisfied compared to
the cereal/bagel eaters who would have been more prone to wild blood sugar swings and food cravings.

Security in KLCC Tower getting worse…

Security in
KLCC Tower getting worse (DON’T DELETE B4 READING!!!!
This is a true experience. This message was passed to us with the consent of the victim.

Yesterday evening, one of our staff’s wife arrived with their child to do some shopping together with her husband in KLCC.
After they have finished shopping, they went home in separate cars because they came in 2 cars. The child followed the father while the wife went separately to her car which was parked at level P2.

When the wife wanted to pay for the parking, she found out she has lost the parking ticket. The parking attendant asked her to go to KLCC Parking Office.

So she went to the office hoping to get some help. At the KLCC Parking Office, a parking attendant said she has to go to KLCC Security office. He offered to give her a ride on his motorbike there, but she refused and followed behind his bike  in her Kancil. He took her to P1 and then they reached a narrow alley where the car was not able to go through. He then asked her to take a ride on his motorbike instead and leave her car behind.

At the end of the alley, there were 3 GUYS waiting for them, all of them dressed in neat uniform. They tried to gang rape her. But fortunately, with the strength from God, she managed to kick one of them where it HURTS the most and ran away as fast as she could.

She went up to the place her subconscience told her where most of the shoppers were, i.e.
Picnic Court . Because her hubby does not own a handphone, she had to wait for him to reach home before she could contact him. She called him up later and asked him to come and fetched her.

She dare not report this occurrence to any KLCC security guard. She does not TRUST them any longer. (I won’t too, given the same situation).

They reported the incident to the police. Later the police called her up to identify the personnel. But due to the shock and trauma, she could not recognize them. All of them were wearing cap at that time. There were 4 Malay guys altogether.
- 1 wearing a light yellow top with dark blue bottom (KLCC parking maintenance)
- 2 wearing white tops with dark bottom (parking attendant)
- 1 wearing a light brown top with dark bottom (KLCC Suria parking and Park security guard)

According to the police, countless incident of gang rapes happened here in KLCC. And they suspected that it is all an inside job.

The staff’s wife wishes all women staff of Petronas to be careful and vigilant in future especially in the parking area and toilets. This goes for the Men as well.

Please warn your wife/family members or friends.

Maxis Broadband – A Cheat? May 8, 2008

For those who wants to know more about Maxis Broadband before subscribing,  this article suits you:

Forwarding a message from an angry user : forward to all your friends I am cheated!!

Dear all,

please do not subscribe yourselves to Maxis Broadband because they are

cheating the money out of the poor people of Malaysia.

I went to PC Fair today just to see the latest gadgets in IT. Suddenly

as I pass by the groups of green-shirt sales people huddled so close

together like they’ve got something to hide, one of the green shirt

lady asked me to subscribe to Maxis broadband because I could get

3.6mps speed that is so much faster than the usual Streamyx 1.0mps at

roughly the same price.(I will pay RM108 per month for Maxis instead

of Rm88 per month for Streamyx, by mathematical calculation Maxis

would seem more economical for my cents worth) There are many things

went through my mind other than the economy of speed i.e the mobility,

housemate will have better sharing speed and I could finally cancel my

unused land line of RM25/month

Imagine my horror when I got back home and tested my Maxis and found

that its speed is way slower than Streamyx!!! I tried to open a

youtube file with Maxis then Streamyx at around the same time and

found out that Streamyx is way much faster than Maxis!!!

Not only that, when I got myself back to Streamyx and google ‘Maxis

Broadband Speed’ I was flabbergasted by the rows of forums consists of

very very pissed off Maxis Broadband victims. A lot of them are like

me, new user just bought less than a week, and already felt cheated by

the doings of Maxis!!!

Please check links below for more information:

http://www.planetmy.com/blog/maxis-broadband/
 http://zeo.unic.net.my/notes/should-i-switch-to-maxis-broadband/
It’s not about when I watch my youtube, in fact they say Maxis line is

the fastest between 3am to 8am(who in the working mind would want to

use the net at this hour!!), it’s most of the time that we would

usually use the net that Maxis speed pale by comparison to Streamyx.

Not only that, even Jeff Ooi is singing the same tone, albeit on a

different note, of the deceptions that Maxis come out with.

http://www.jeffooi.com/2006/10/maxis_broadband_anyone.php
I am hitting my head on the wall now for I have signed the binding

contract that I need to commit to 18 months of the subscription or I

will be penalized with exactly the same amount of cost plus

cancellation fees!!! Which means to say that I have no choice but to

use for 18 months of slow-speed connection.

Key points to remember:

1. Maxis Broadband is a lie. Forward this mail to your beloved friends

C’mon friends. Be a proactive Malaysian. Enough with our Tidak Apa

attitude. Let there be justice where justice is due. The people need

to be informed.

Birds’ Nest Chronicles April 25, 2008

As some of you (especially ladies) might still have the perception that birds’ nest is good as it could keep the skin from aging, please refer to the story below. You might notice that birds’ nest is not really as good as you initially thought after all.

Birds’ nests when they were initially harvested are very dirty and smelly. Looking at their original form, no one would even think of consuming it.

First, the workers need to get rid of the fine feathers, grass and dirt.

After getting rid of the feathers and grass, the birds’ nests are cut into smaller pieces for further cleaning.

Then they are soaked in water for other smaller particles to float to the top.

Then they are soaked in a kind of bleaching agent for them to turn white.

Some suppliers use H2O2 to get rid of the smell of second class birds nest.

Note: H2O2 is a cancer causing agent.

Only some food contain small amount of SO2 and SO3 (not more than 0.00000002%).

In Japan the amount of SO2 and SO3 in all sorts of food must not exceed 0.00000001.

The bleaching agent becomes cloudy.

After bleaching, hot boiling water is used to get rid of the smell of bleaching agent.

The parts of the birds’ nests which cannot be bleached will be taken out.

Now it’s the time to mould them into their usual shapes that you would normally see in the market.

After molding them into desired shapes, they are dried.

After the drying process, the birds’ nests are ready to be packaged.

Scientists have already proved that birds’ nest contains very little amount of nutritional value.

The nutritional value is totally gone and bird nest is worthless after processing them with lots of chemicals.

Profit on Market Crash?? May 23, 2007

Stock market is getting hotter lately and I could not help but overheard people’s two cents opinions on the share market.

‘Market is going to crash soon!!’,so they say. ‘I am going to sell when the market starts to crash so that I could maximise on the profit from the current rising market’,so they say-say. ‘Market will crash in a year or two la, still got time’, another one says.

Hmm..so when will the market crash ya? Is one or two year equals to ’soon’. Or ’soon’ is a statement of pessimism while 1 or 2 years, an optimistic view. How come the range is so wide?

And when the market crashes and everyone is selling, will they still be able to sell it at a maximized profit?

I do not have the answers coz I never been there during the last market crash. So I wait and see.
